Los retratos están hechos con la técnica de batik que se trata de reservar con cera muy caliente las zonas que uno no quiere que se tiñan, en estas piezas se ven dos tonos de gris y uno de blanco, lo que quiere decir que los retratos tuvieron dos teñidos y tres aplicaciones de cera, este preoceso los convierte en piezas únicas ya que es practicamente imposible repetir con precisión las condiciones en que se aplicó la cera.

These portraits are made using the batik technique, which works by blocking with very hot wax the areas that you don’t want to be dyed. In these pieces two tones of grey were used, meaning that two dye and tree wax applications were made. This process makes them unique pieces due to the impossibility of reproducing with accuracy the conditions of the application of the wax.
